2012-13

The old couple approached us for designing a flat for two of them, as their children had settled abroad, but they were more comfortable in their home land and wanted to spend their rest of lives in Rajkot. It was a 3bhk flat in one of the posh areas Kalawad Road of the city. They already had old furnishings which were to be totally discarded and an elegant, maintenance free and rich environment had to be created. A pastel shades palate was used to create soothing and calm interiors, which reflected their way of living. And it was enhanced by the collection of the artifacts they had collected during their journey of life. It was a pure exercise of subtle space planning and cozy minimal design. The design was kept to simple straight lines, with minimum nooks and corners and each space required minimum maintenance.
