COMMERCIAL ARCHITECTURE

The site is located in one of the major commercial areas of Rajkot. The surrounding urban fabric is a mixture of old and new construction works. The site faces main road in the east and side road in the north. Considering the plot size and other parameters and design brief, two showrooms on each floor the bigger one 725 sq.ft. Facing the main road and smaller one 400 sq.ft. Facing the side road were proposed. The internal area of the showroom was kept column free so as to facilitate barrier free space utilization as per convenience of the user. It was conceived as a modern building and hence its form reflects a simple and minimal design. The form is a matrix of square grid in white ALCO panel and structural glazing grid reflecting a neatness of lines and strong and striking visual impact. It makes its existence strongly felt.
